The use of solar thermal energy of solar electricity to power a colling appliance.

Solar assisted cooling can be divided in three broad categories : 1) Systems that provide refrigeration(either by a system using absorption cooling or by a conventional vapour-compression air conditioning unit... 2) Dehumidification systems(air is dried and then cooled by evaporation. Solar energy is used as the source of heat for regenerating the air-dehumidifying agent) 3) Natural cooling methods. Heat is transferred during the day from the warm house to the storage medium from where it is given off to the night air and sky by convection and radiation).

Preparation of bleach chemicals. All conventional bleaching chemicals can be produced from air, water and brine(NaCl solution) utilizing varying amounts of energy. Since the raw materials are cheap, it follows that manufacturing costs are mainly a function of how much energy is expended. Oxygen. Two systems are utilized for oxygen generation : cryogenic air separation and adsorption-based separation.... Cryogenic plants compress air and remove water, CO2 and other impurities in a pretreatment system. The dry air is then cooled and liquified at cryogenic temperatures using turbo expanders and/or refrigeration systems. Finally, the liquified air is distilled to separate it into oxygen, nitrogen and other coproducts.
