A turbosupercharger or turbocharger is an external supercharger designed to be driven by means of a turbine wheel which receives its power from the engine exhaust. 2, record 1, English, - turbocharger
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Since the power required to drive the ordinary type of external supercharger is obtained from the action of the engine exhaust gases against a bucket wheel or turbine, the external type is also called a turbosupercharger of turbocharger depending on whether it supercharges the air or merely maintains sea-level pressure. 2, record 1, English, - turbocharger
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 CONT
The sea-level supercharger ... is sometimes called a ground boost blower. It is not a true supercharger unless it raises the MAP [manifold pressure] above 30 in Hg. 2, record 1, English, - turbocharger

2, record 1, French, - turbocompresseur

On hydraulic systems 1 and 4, the back up to the Engine Driven Pump(EDP) are ADP's. The ADP is a pneumatically driven hydraulic pump. Bleed air is used to power a turbine drive unit which spins a hydraulic pump when the demands on system 1 and 4 exceeds the EDP capacity. 2, record 2, English, - turbine%20drive%20unit

The amount of oil pressure directed to the actuator is controlled by two separate controllers : the density controller and the differential pressure controller. The density controller senses the temperature and pressure of the airflow in the engine intake. The differential pressure controller senses the difference between engine manifold pressure and the air pressure between the compressor and the throttle valve. When fully open, the waste gate valve routes the exhaust flow directly out the tailpipe, away from the turbine wheel. When fully closed, the waste gate valve routes the exhaust flow through the turbine wheel, thereby driving the turbine. During most stages of operation the controllers modulate the position of the valve to drive the turbine at the speed required to meet the engine power selection. The system is designed to work with no input from the pilot. 1, record 3, English, - density%20controller

1, record 3, French, - r%C3%A9gulateur%20de%20densit%C3%A9
