As the engine demands additional air, the secondary throttle plates open. Even at wide-open throttle(WOT), the secondary plates only open to the full-open position if the engine is able to use this amount of air. This eliminates stumbling at WOT that might occur with mechanical secondary operation if the driver opens the secondaries before the engine requires the additional boost. 6, record 1, English, - wide%2Dopen%20throttle

The reverse thrust system provides means of decelerating aircraft during the landing roll, thus reducing landing roll length. The thrust reverser units are attached at the turbine outlet case of each engine.... The reversers are controlled by reverse thrust levers and operated by 13th stage engine bleed air. When not in use, the reversers are held in the locked position by 13th stage air and a mechanical lock. Each engine throttle has an additional handle which is used to actuate the thrust reversers. The reverse thrust lever pivots about a point near to the top of the throttle. If reverse trust is required, the throttle must be retarded to closed and then the reverse thrust lever must be pulled up. Further aft movement of the lever will increase reverse thrust. 3, record 2, English, - reverse%20thrust%20lever

3, record 2, French, - manette%20d%27inversion%20de%20pouss%C3%A9e

To reduce pilot workload still further, Eurofighter Typhoon has a unique Voice Throttle And Stick(VTAS) system. This system allows the pilot to keep his Hands on Throttle and Stick(HOTAS) and operate the majority of the aircraft's controls from this position. Other commands can be give through Direct Voice Input(DVI). Due to the drastically reduced workload pilots are able to focus on the mission and systems operation. In an air battle scenario, the VTAS system even allows the lead pilot to assign targets to himself with two simple voice commands or to any of his wingmen with only five commands. 3, record 5, English, - voice%2C%20throttle%20and%20stick

The amount of oil pressure directed to the actuator is controlled by two separate controllers : the density controller and the differential pressure controller. The density controller senses the temperature and pressure of the airflow in the engine intake. The differential pressure controller senses the difference between engine manifold pressure and the air pressure between the compressor and the throttle valve. When fully open, the waste gate valve routes the exhaust flow directly out the tailpipe, away from the turbine wheel. When fully closed, the waste gate valve routes the exhaust flow through the turbine wheel, thereby driving the turbine. During most stages of operation the controllers modulate the position of the valve to drive the turbine at the speed required to meet the engine power selection. The system is designed to work with no input from the pilot. 1, record 7, English, - density%20controller

1, record 7, French, - r%C3%A9gulateur%20de%20densit%C3%A9
