[A bin] formed out of the space enclosed by a battery of interconnected bins.

CONT

An alternate method of loading is direct loading from individual bins by means of spouts that protrude from the bin walls. In this case, grain is distributed directly to either trucks or railcars or to the interstice bins above the drive-through tunnel for trucks.

An alternate means of transmitting voice patterns between a cell site and wireless phone. Digital technology transforms voice patterns into zeros and ones(binary code-computer language). The computer encoding is transmitted along the radio channel and once the data has reached its desired destination, it is transferred back into the original voice patterns.

A key on a computer keyboard that does not itself generate a character but changes the nature of the character generated by another key when depressed simultaneously with it; similar to the control and shift keys.

OBS

The [Alternate key] is like a second Control key. Not all computer keyboards have an [Alternate key], but it is standard on all [personal computers]. You use it in the same fashion as the Control key--holding it down while you press another key. For example, an instruction to use the Alt+P combination means that you should hold the [Alternate key] down while pressing and then releasing the P key. The meaning of any [Alternate key] combination depends on which application is running.

The Alternate key on English keyboards is usually labelled with the letters "Alt" in uppercase or lowercase characters.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program(SINP), which operates under an agreement with the federal government, can provide an alternate and quicker means of entry into Canada. This program allows Saskatchewan to nominate applicants, who qualify under criteria established by the province, to the federal government for landed immigrant status. The SINP offers : The ability to select applicants whose skills and abilities best fit the province's needs; consideration of applications that may not qualify under federal immigration criteria; application processing times that are faster than other federal immigration classes; assistance from Provincial Immigration Officers who are readily available to explain program requirements and processes.
