The average number of eggs in the streamside incubators was 7, 200 eggs per incubator. If streamside incubation were to be used as an alternate incubation strategy for a watershed or large river, a greater number of eggs would be needed per incubator. If the entire incubator was used it could potentially incubate 100, 000 eggs. It would be beneficial to investigate the potential of streamside incubators to incubate greater numbers of eggs. 3, record 1, English, - stream%2Dside%20incubator

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Although the potato psyllid is predominantly a pest of potatoes and tomatoes, it has a wide number of alternate hosts including eggplant, peppers, and common weeds... Potato psyllids, like aphids and leafhoppers, suck plant sap through needlelike mouthparts. They feed in a similar manner to aphids, but instead of producing a shiny film of honeydew on the leaves, their sugary exudate resembles a white powder. The nymphs are the damaging stage because when feeding, they inject a toxin that causes a physiological condition known as "psyllid yellows. "Feeding by this pest not only causes yellowing of the plant, but can also result in loss of vigour and yield due to a combination of reduced fruit set and fruit size. 4, record 2, English, - potato%20psyllid

Hypericum foliosum Aiton, is a beautiful Azorean endemic species whose populations currently yield a low number of individuals in many of the archipelago islands. In order to find an effective ex situ multiplication strategy for this plant several studies were carried out. During a 3 years span the germination capacity of its seeds was tested. The essays took place under a continuous temperature of 15°C and 10-20°C alternate, for a period of 8 hours light and total darkness, In alternate temperature tests the light period was made to coincide with the highest temperature. The species showed a positive photosensitivity and germination percentage of 67% under a continuous 15°C temperature. 1, record 6, English, - positive%20photosensitivity

An example will illustrate how the computer assists the operation. Joe Smith delivers a truck load of grain to the elevator, and is directed by the central control board operator(CBO) to receiving pit. Using an alphanumeric keyboard, the CBO types in Smith's account number, the code number of the receiving pit(origin) and the code number of the selected bin(destination) in which his grain will be stored. The computer then determines all possible alternate routes between the receiving pit and the bin and displays them in detail on the video screen. The operator selects the route he wants to use by typing in the proper instruction. All but the selected route codes disappear from the video screen. The computer then determines all possible simultaneous routes that could be used without interference; the operator may later select any of these routes for another operation. 1, record 7, English, - central%20control%20board%20operator

1, record 7, French, - pr%C3%A9pos%C3%A9%20au%20tableau%20de%20commande%20principal

The orbital aircraft has the capability to fly suborbital missions without propellant transfer, to distances of 3, 000 to 6, 000 nautical miles, depending on the aerodynamic configuration This capability exists because the airframe is capable of independent takeoff and landing. This offers a transcontinental range for a number of alternate missions that are difficult to imagine for an air launch concept. For the same reason, the tanker and orbital aircraft may be based at different locations, and interfaced only in flight. This offers more basing flexibility and removes the requirements for specialized facilities and ground support equipment such as that needed to mate the Shuttle orbiter to its carrier aircraft. 2, record 8, English, - orbital%20aircraft
