Cellulose fibers such as cotton, flax, linen and jute, as well plant-based specimens, can be stored in buffered material.... Any artifacts that contain animal proteins are best stored in unbuffered material.... Blueprints should never come in contact with buffered material, and many archivists also prefer to store albumen prints and cyanotypes in unbuffered material. 4, record 3, English, - unbuffered

Gastrulation patterns vary in different animal taxa. The general pattern is an invagination of the epithelial layer into the blastocoele(at the so-called vegetal pole) forming the endoderm, which gives rise to the gut. The outer layer, the epithelium, becomes the ectoderm, which will form the epidermis and the nervous system. The cell in between these two layers develop into a mesoderm, which differentiates into the notochord(a vertebral column or its substitute), into the connective tissues, bones, cartilages, fibers, muscles,... 1, record 8, English, - gastrula

Record number: 9, Textual support number: 1 CONT
2, record 9, French, - carbonisage

Historically fibers have been used to reinforce many different types of building materials. Some classic uses are straw in bricks, animal hair in plaster, and asbestos in cement. More recently, however, fiber-reinforced concrete has concentrated on steel, glass, and plastic fibers being placed in mortars and concretes to improve their material characteristics, particularly those of flexural and impact strength.... In another case, rather than use separated discrete sized fibers for reinforcement, duPont has experimented with their nonwoven fabric Typar as a reinforcement material for concrete. It was found that 5 foot-pounds were required to break the unreinforced section, while 20 foot-pounds were required for 2 once per square yard Typar-reinforced tiles .... 1, record 11, English, - fabric%2Dreinforced%20concrete
