Ionic detergent used for denaturation of protein and in electrophoresis of protein subunits. 1, record 8, English, - sodium%20dodecyl%20sulphate
Record number: 8, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Detergent solubilization has been used with great success to study the major proteins in various membranes. Typically, the membranes are first heated to 100°C in a 1% solution of the strong detergent SDS(which disrupts all non-covalent protein-protein and protein-lipid interactions and completely unfolds the proteins), then layered on top of a polyacrylamide gel containing SDS, and lastly subjected to electrophoresis in a strong electric field for several hours. The amount of anionic SDS bound to protein is roughly equal to the mass of the polypeptide, with the result that the negative charge of the detergent overwhelms the intrinsic charge of the protein. Consequently, each individual protein migrates in the electric field at a rate determined by its molecular weight. 4, record 8, English, - sodium%20dodecyl%20sulphate

2, record 8, French, - dod%C3%A9cyl%20sulfate%20de%20sodium
Record number: 8, Textual support number: 1 CONT
4, record 8, French, - dod%C3%A9cyl%20sulfate%20de%20sodium

In uranium recovery, use of resin ion exchange is based on the existence of anionic uranium complexes in the leach solution. Under correct conditions, the anionic uranium complexes can be selectively removed by a preferentially absorbing synethic resin. Following resin absorption, a suitable eluting reagent can be used to strip the uranium complexes from the resin, thereby yielding a purified and concentrated solution. Subsequently, precipitation techniques are available to produce a final product. 1, record 17, English, - resin%20ion%20exchange

In order to alleviate the flocculation tendency and to reduce the amount of mixing water, certain organic molecules, well-known for their dispersing properties, can be used. The first dispersing molecules, more commonly water reducers, were produced from paper mill waste and were called lignosulfates... Chemically, water reducers can be anionic, cationic, or even nonionic. They are composed of molecules having a highly charged end that neutralizes one electrical site on a cement particle with an opposite charge. In the case of nonionic water reducers, these molecules act like dipoles that are glued to the cement grains. 1, record 35, English, - water%20reducer
