5, record 19, French, - assiette%20de%20l%27avion

The attitude indicator(also called the artificial horizon or the gyro horizon) provides the pilot with an artificial horizon as a means of reference when the natural horizon cannot be seen because of cloud, fog, rain or other obstructions to visibility... The attitude indicator relies on the principle of gyroscopic rigidity in space--the rapidly-spinning rotor disk resists any attempt to disturb its orientation. Thus, the gyro provides a stable horizontal reference against which the pitch and roll attitudes of the aircraft can be measured. The "artificial horizon bar" on the face of the attitude indicator is mechanically coupled to the gyro inside, so it remains parallel to the natural horizon. The instrument's little "symbolic airplane" is fixed to the instrument case, however, so it follows the roll and pitch movements of the real airplane. Consequently, the relationship of the horizon bar to the symbolic airplane is the same as the relationship between the natural horizon and the real airplane. 5, record 27, English, - natural%20horizon

Gyrocompassing oriented the vehicle to an orbit plane yaw reference by detecting a component of the programmed pitch rate through the roll horizon sensor. The description of the Station's flight attitude(orientation relative to the plane of its orbit) is referenced to local-vertical/local-horizontal(LVLH) axes that are fixed with respect to the Station's near-circular orbit(i. e., not to the physical Station). The LVLH origin is at the Station's center-of-mass; the z-axis points radially toward the Earth's center(or toward the nadir direction), the x-axis points along the orbital velocity vector(the ram direction, with wake being opposite), and the y-axis completes the right-handed triad. The flight attitude of the Station is then described using a second, Station-fixed, coordinate system whose orientation relative to LVLH is specified using the Eulerian angles of yaw, pitch and roll. Several Station-fixed coordination systems are defined. The most widely used is the Space Station Reference Coordinate System,... in thich the positive x-axis points along the axis of the U. S. lab away from the Zarya and Service Modules; the positive y-axis points starboard along the main truss, and positive z completes a right-handed coordinate system. 2, record 37, English, - Station%27s%20flight%20attitude

In its simplest form, an inertial navigation system(INS) consists of an inertial measurement unit(IMU), the navigation computer, and a computer interface. Therefore, the inertial navigation system aboard an aircraft provides... aircraft acceleration, velocity, position, attitude, and heading to the onboard navigation computer... The IMU... measures the specific force and attitude of the vehicle in an inertial coordinate frame. These inertial coordinates are in turn transferred to the computer, which determines the vehicle position in the desired reference frame. 4, record 39, English, - inertial%20coordinate%20frame

Inertial sensors(gyroscopes and accelerometers) are used to obtain information on orientation and accelerations relative to a reference frame in which Newton's laws are valid. Orientation or attitude measurements obtained by gyroscopes provide angular information, while acceleration measurements, which are corrected for gravity and, integrated twice for distance, provide linear information. 3, record 40, English, - inertial%20sensor

5, record 40, French, - capteur%20inertiel
