The first rimfire cartridge patented in France in 1846 by Bernard Houllier and used in Flobert firearms for very close range indoor shooting. The first Flobert cartridge was made of a rimmed percussion cap loaded with a 6 mm lead ball and had no powder charge. Terme venant de l'abréviation de «Bulleted Breech Cap». La première cartouche à percussion annulaire, fut brevetée en France en 1846 par Bernard Houllier et utilisée dans les armes à feu Flobert pour le tir intérieur à très courte distance. La cartouche Flobert originale utilisait une capsule fulminante à bourrelet chargée d'une balle ronde de 6 mm en plomb, sans poudre.
