A long recoil action uses the force of recoil to achieve the seven steps of operation. It requires the barrel and bolt(locked together) to travel rearward for a distance somewhat greater than the full length of the fired cartridge before coming to a stop, so that the fired shell may be extracted and ejected. 3, record 1, English, - fired%20shell

Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 DEF
System of operation common in sub-machine-guns and in which the primer is struck and the cartridge is fired while the bolt is still moving forward. The explosion force has to stop the moving bolt before causing it to recoil, introducing a fractional delay between firing and breech opening, thus permitting the bullet to leave the barrel. This system absorbs some recoil energy and allows the bolt to be lighter. 2, record 3, English, - advanced%20primer%20ignition

1, record 3, French, - avance%20de%20la%20mise%20%C3%A0%20feu

Planetary-gear extruders consist of a single screw that changes after a certain length into a helical gear. The toothed planetary screws are driven by the main screw, which intermeshes with them. They also intermesh with a fixed internally toothed barrel and are retained in the planetary roller system by a stop ring on the outlet side. They are used mainly to compound PVC formulations. 2, record 6, English, - planetary%2Dgear%20extruder

3, record 6, French, - extrudeuse%20%C3%A0%20engrenages
