Cell Biology Experiment Facility(CBEF). The CBEF provides a controlled temperature, humidity and CO²-level environment for fundamental life sciences research on small plants, animals, cells, tissues and microorganisms. A rotating table can provide g-levels from 0. 1 to 2 g for specimens. The clean bench installed in JEM provides a sterilized closed work space for life sciences experiments such as handling of cells, microorganisms, or small plants. This clean bench consists of an operation chamber, a disinfection chamber and a control unit to communicate with JEM system. The operation chamber can be drawn out from the main part of the clean bench to make sufficient working area.
