The rack deadlift is a partial version of the conventional deadlift. You perform it inside a power rack with pins set so that the bar is located just above the knees. It is an excellent exercise for beginners–you don’t have to use a full ROM [range of movement], and having the rack is like using a spotter. Deadlifts from a racked position emphasize your low back muscles, because you won’t be bending as low and thereby incorporating your legs. Use this exercise to help strengthen the low back specifically or if you want to attempt heavier weights than you can lift from the floor. 3, record 3, English, - power%20rack%20deadlift
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Begin this exercise using a shoulder-width stance with the arms just outside the thighs. Using an overhand grip, bend the knees slightly to grasp the bar. Inhale. Exhale as you pull the weight off the pins, keeping the back flat, the abs tight, the head up, and the weights close to the body. Don’t bounce the bar off the pins in the rack. 3, record 3, English, - power%20rack%20deadlift

Explosively drive upward with legs, driving barbell up off shoulders. Drop body downward and split one foot forward and other backward as fast as possible while vigorously extending arms overhead. The split position places front shin vertical to floor with front foot flat on floor. The rear knee is slightly bent with rear foot positioned on toes. Rules for the Clean and Jerk. The first part, the Clean : The bar is placed horizontally in front of the lifter's legs. It is gripped, palms downward and pulled in a single movement from the platform to the shoulders, while either splitting or bending the legs. During this continuous movement, the bar may slide along the thighs and the lap. The bar must not touch the chest before the final position. It then rests on the clavicles or the chest above the nipples or on the arms fully bent. The feet return to the same line, legs straight, before performing the Jerk. 2, record 6, English, - clean

The basic stance in which railroad turns are done puts both skis on their inside edge. Because your feet are wider than your hips, angulation is "pre-set" on both legs.
