Tritium is a hydrogen atom that has 2 neutrons in the nucleus, in addition to its single proton, giving it an atomic weight near 3. Although tritium can be a gas, its most common form is in water, because, like non-radioactive hydrogen, radioactive tritium reacts with oxygen to form water. Tritium replaces one of the stable hydrogens in the water molecule, H2O, and is called tritiated water. Like H2O, tritiated water is colorless and odorless. Tritium has a half-life of 12. 3 years and emits a very weak beta particle. 4, record 1, English, - tritiated%20water

4, record 1, French, - eau%20triti%C3%A9e

IDDM [insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus] usually comes on abruptly, although the damage to the beta cells may begin much earlier. The signs of IDDM are a great thirst, hunger, a need to urinate often, and loss of weight. To treat the disease, the person must inject insulin, follow a diet plan, exercise daily, and test blood glucose several times a day. IDDM usually occurs in children and adults who are under age 30. 8, record 2, English, - insulin%2Ddependent%20diabetes%20mellitus

2, record 2, French, - diab%C3%A8te%20insulino%2Dd%C3%A9pendant
