Ces diverses parties sont reliées entre elles par une cuvette d'amorce percée d'un évent, qui est elle-même engagée et fortement sertie contre les parois par une rondelle en papier comprimé. La capsule et son enclume sont placées au centre de cette cuvette. 2, record 12, French, - cartouche%20Boxer

The out of battery firing is one of the worst possible catastrophic failures that can happen with a firearm. It occurs when a cartridge is, for whatever reason, not completely locked in the chamber of the weapon when it goes off. Originally, electronic cigarettes were three-part devices, made up of a battery, an atomizer and cartridge, which was filled with e-liquid.... the design had some flaws. Working with three different components proved somewhat tricky for some, and a lot of people complained about leaks when using or refilling the cartridges. But, like in any successful industry, things evolved pretty fast, and soon designers came up with a solution that made using e-cigarettes a lot easier. They decided to compress the atomizer and cartridge into a single unit, that eliminated leaking problems almost completely, was able to hold significantly more e-liquid, and was easy to screw on to the battery. This hybrid was called the cartomizer, from the two parts combined to create it(the cartridge and the atomizer). 1, record 80, English, - cartomizer

The de-icer actuated by cartridge(DAC) can be used for emergency work on... transmission lines. The DAC is a portable device operated by remote control. It consists of a cylinder-and-piston system that can be suspended from a conductor or ground wire and fired by means of an electronic trigger. Installation from the ground is facilitated by the use of a line thrower. When the cartridge explodes, it generates a mechanical impulse that propagates along the span, breaking the ice instantaneously.

1, record 92, French, - dispositif%20de%20d%C3%A9gla%C3%A7age%20%C3%A0%20cartouche

Chemical Cartridge and Canister(gas mask) Respirators.... The basic difference between a cartridge and a canister is the volume of sorbent it contains. The sorbent volume of a cartridge is small and its useful life is short, especially in areas of high gas or vapour concentration. However, canisters have more sorbent and can be used at higher gas concentrations or for extended periods under lower gas concentrations. 4, record 93, English, - cartridge

The European furnace insert in the MSL [Materials Science Laboratory] is developed to support research in the field of Bridgman crystal growth. The LGF [Low Gradient Furnace] consists of two heated cavities separated by an insulating, "adiabatic" zone. It is intended to provide restricted but well-controlled gradients between two stable temperature plateaux. Crystal growth is performed by translating the furnace over a stationary sample; thermomechanical stresses in the grown crystal are minimised by maintaining the solidified part of the sample in the heated cavity throughout processing. Alternatively, the insert can be used for thermodiffusion experiments by keeping the furnace stationary and using only the gradient capability. Isothermal experiments can also be carried out with suitable sample/cartridge configurations. 2, record 96, English, - furnace%20insert
