... direct metal laser melting(DMLM), the latest technology for 3D printing and additive manufacturing of metal parts.... Utilizing the DMLM process, metal parts of the most complex geometries are built layer-by-layer(down to 20 microns) directly from 3D CAD [computer-aided design] data. Parts built using DMLM have excellent mechanical properties equivalent to wrought materials, high detail resolution, and exceptional surface quality. The metal powder is melted entirely to create a fully dense, fine, homogenous structure. Unique geometric freedom of design enables DMLM to form cavities and undercuts, which with conventional machining methods, can only be produced with great difficulty, if at all. 3, record 17, English, - direct%20metal%20laser%20melting

Hot runner molds. Thermoplastic runners are reground and reused. A logical extension of the three-plate mold overcomes this and is called a hot runner mold. This mold has a hot runner plate, which is a block of steel heated with electric cartridges, thermostatically controlled. This keeps the plastic fluid. The material is received from the injection cylinder and is forced through the hot runner blocks into the cavities. It is a more difficult mold to build and operate than a three-plate mold, but produces parts less expensively on longer-running jobs. 3, record 46, English, - hot%2Drunner%20mould

4, record 49, French, - plastique%20alv%C3%A9olaire

The European furnace insert in the MSL [Materials Science Laboratory] is developed to support research in the field of Bridgman crystal growth. The LGF [Low Gradient Furnace] consists of two heated cavities separated by an insulating, "adiabatic" zone. It is intended to provide restricted but well-controlled gradients between two stable temperature plateaux. Crystal growth is performed by translating the furnace over a stationary sample; thermomechanical stresses in the grown crystal are minimised by maintaining the solidified part of the sample in the heated cavity throughout processing. Alternatively, the insert can be used for thermodiffusion experiments by keeping the furnace stationary and using only the gradient capability. Isothermal experiments can also be carried out with suitable sample/cartridge configurations. 2, record 81, English, - furnace%20insert

An infectious viral disease of swine that is easily transmitted through direct contact to susceptible pigs and vertically to foetuses [...] it is characterised by reproductive failure of sows and respiratory distress of piglets and growing pigs. The characteristics of the reproductive failure are infertility, late foetal mummification, abortions, agalactia, stillbirths, and weak piglets that usually die shortly after birth due to respiratory disease and secondary bacterial infections [...] 3, record 84, English, - porcine%20reproductive%20and%20respiratory%20syndrome

This article briefly describes the PRRS(porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome), which arose in the winter of 1990 in Germany and other European countries... The clinical picture of this new disease, which led to important economical losses is dominated by 1. an increased rate of reduced length of pregnancy with late abortion before day 110 or an increased length of pregnancy; 2. an increase in stillborn piglets; 3. a larger scale of preweaning mortality combined with a higher frequency of secondary infections... Pathological findings in piglets are subcutaneous edema, accumulation of fluids in the body cavities and sometimes interstitial pneumonia is observed... At present a non-classified virus, isolated by Dutch researchers is proposed to be the causative agent and named Lelystad virus. 4, record 84, English, - porcine%20reproductive%20and%20respiratory%20syndrome
