The Canadian Committee for Professionalism(CCFP), which is sponsored jointly by the CFEC [Canadian Foreign Exchange Committee] and the FMAC [Financial Markets Association of Canada], was inaugurated in late 1993. Many of the issues that arose out of the Benchmark Study happen to be encountered through the broker medium. These issues were addressed by representatives of the Interdealer Brokers Association(IDBA) in conjunction with the CCFP [Canadian Committee for Professionalism]. The result was a set of best market practices(attached) for the wholesale brokered foreign exchange market.
