CONT

The purpose of the PREMIX [TM] Concrete Pre-Mixer by WAM [TM] is the creation of a homogeneous mixture of cement, additives and water able to evenly coat the aggregates. PREMIX [TM], which is installed before the truck mixer drum, highly improves the quality of concrete. Its special design, its revolutionary working principle and its particularly high efficiency add a new dimension to the process. The dry feed chamber houses a high speed feeder screw which feeds material into the mixing chamber where water is injected through three tangential nozzles. In this section special highly efficient mixing tools care for an extremely homogeneous mixture of solids and liquid.

Construction of a Surge Silo Conveyor Facility for Norfolk Southern County Twin 96" conveyors to new transfer structure, maintained continuous coal loading operations during the 10 month project. Lambert’s Point Facility Norfolk, VA.

The primary cement storage silo is situated outside of the mine and uses a blower to charge a small 22 tonne surge silo at the slurry plant. Both the cement and water are weigh batched in separate hoppers that feed into a Colcrete SD1000(1000 liter) colloidal mixer.

Après avoir séché au moins deux mois dans le hangar, le bois est livré à l'aide d'une benne de 6 m 3. En effet, cela était l'unique solution au vu de l'emplacement des deux portes du silo situées au-dessous d'un toit [...] qui empêcheraient toute livraison par un camion. Les plaquettes sont livrées dans un silo de 50 m 3, muni de racleurs hydrauliques pour le dessilage. Ensuite, pour éviter une trop grosse consommation électrique des vérins hydrauliques, un petit silo tampon de 1 m 3 a été installé. Les racleurs ne fonctionnent alors plus qu'une demi-heure par jour.

In a conventional hot-mix asphalt process the aggregate is fed to a dryer where the surface moisture is completely removed. It is then transferred from the dryer and mixed with the liquid asphalt in the pugmill or continuous mixer. A drum mixing plant differs from the conventional process in that the asphalt cement and aggregate are heated and mixed in the dryer drum in a single operation.
