OBS

This survey collects production, shipment and inventory data in metric tonnes from Canadian manufacturers of cement. Data is collected for Portland, masonry and other type of cement. Data collected from the Cement Survey are important as an input into the Canadian System of National Accounts and for studying market trends in the Cement Industry. The data are used by the business community, trade associations(including the Cement Association of Canada), federal and provincial departments and international organizations and associations.

The surveyor must examine all of the potentially friable asbestos materials and applications, such as floor finishes, ceiling tiles and asbestos-reinforced cement products.
