A game developed in Scotland in which two teams of four players each throw granite rocks spinning over a stretch of ice 138 feet long and 14 feet 2 inches wide(Can.) to 15 feet 6 inches wide towards a three-ringed target in an attempt to place a rock as close as possible to the center of the rings marked by a spot called the button. 2, record 2, English, - curling
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
A team scores one point for each stone it places nearer the center of the rings than its opponent. After all players on both teams have delivered their stones to one end of the rink (an "end"), the stones are scored and then delivered to the opposite end. ... Though a match may be played to a stipulated number of points, most are played for a designated number of ends (as 14, 17, or 21). 3, record 2, English, - curling

2, record 2, French, - curling
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
3, record 2, French, - curling
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
4, record 2, French, - curling
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 2 OBS
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 3 OBS
This embroidery stitch is a useful accent stitch. It is often stitched on top of finished needlepoint, although it can be worked right into the canvas. Record number: 6, Textual support number: 1 CONT
A popular TE option for food products packaged in glass containers under vacuum is the "button-top closure". These include lug versions used for jellies, sauces, and juices, and the threaded-seal version popular with the baby-food industry. A safety button, or coin-sized embossment on the top of the cap, pops-up as the jar is opened and its vacuum is lost. Accompanying this is the "pop" which serves as audible evidence of an undisrupted seal. When capped the embossed button is held down by vacuum pressure, providing the consumer with visual evidence that the container has not been opened. 1, record 6, English, - button%2Dtop%20closure
