Its researchers are mainly social and human scientists, specializing in such various areas as political science, economics, anthropology, international relations, literature, sociology, law, history [and] media studies.

The members of the Center teach specific classes in North American Studies, notably on federalism, literature (French and English language) and history. They also introduce a "North American" aspect in various general classes. ... The Center also encourages student and academic exchanges with North American universities.

Il réunit des chercheurs appartenant principalement aux facultés de sciences humaines, spécialistes de domaines aussi variés que les sciences politiques, l'économie, l'anthropologie, les relations internationales, la littérature, la sociologie, le droit, l'histoire [et] les médias.

En matière d'enseignement, les membres du CENA offrent aux étudiants plusieurs cours spécifiques en études nord-américaines qui portent notamment sur le fédéralisme, la littérature (francophone et anglophone) et l'histoire.
