The origins of the Humid Tropics Hydrology Programme date back to 1987, coinciding with an IHP Working Group meeting held at the University of Hawaii's Water Resources Center. In recognition of the escalating socio-economic problems of the humid tropics and the urgency of the need to address associated water management issues, it was proposed that a more comprehensive programme needed to be developed under the auspices of IHP. 1, record 3, English, - Humid%20Tropics%20Hydrology%20Programme

The blocked letter style, which is the most commonly used style, differs from the full-blocked style in the arrangement of the dateline, the complimentary closing, the company signature, and the writer's identification. All these parts usually start at the horizontal center of the page instead of the left margin. However, the date may be typed to end at the right margin, and the subject and attention lines may be either centered or indented five or ten spaces.
