The first major process in rebuilding a piano is disassembly, starting with the cabinet, then the strings, tuning pins, and finally the heavy cast-iron plate.... In a vertical [piano], first remove the front panels, upper pillars, lid, music shelf, fallboard, nameboard strip, keyslip, keyblocks, action, and keys. If you have a piano tilter..., move the piano far enough from the wall to tip it on its back. Stand the tilter up, center it behind the piano, and push it snugly against the back of the piano with the prongs under the bottom. With one assistant positioned in front to make sure the bottom can’t kick forward, tip the piano and tilter back together. Once the entire weight of the piano is on the tilter, your assistant can stop pushing the bottom of the piano toward the tilter.

Although this system is outdated nowadays, it has an excellent balance between attack and defense, provides for good support, maintains depth, and allows players to attack on a wider front. The system is so named because the distribution of players on the field forms a pattern that looks like the letters W and M... Although several modern systems are now available and more popular, the WM system is still an effective attacking formation, especially if a team has a powerful center forward or striker, two fast wingers, and clever inside forwards and halfbacks.

Le système s'appelle WM car ces deux lettres sont obtenues en traçant une première ligne passant par les défenseurs (W) et une seconde traversant toute l'attaque (M).

An offensive formation in which the quarterback stands directly behind the centre, who hands the ball to him, and the fullback, flanked by the left and the right halfbacks slightly ahead of him, form a balanced line about 4 to 5 yards behind the quarterback, giving the appearance of a T.

OBS

The success of the T formation is based on quick-striking halfbacks plunging through quickly opened holes in the defensive line and a quarterback who keeps the ball hidden until he runs with it, hands it off, or passes it. The T sometimes features a in motion--that is, one offensive back(usually a halfback) who can take a lateral pass from the quarterback and dash around the end or cut around the end and race downfield to receive a forward pass. In the modern T the quarterback always takes the ball from the center on a direct handoff(a hand-to-hand snap).

Several different terminologies have been used to describe physiological acceleration. Since the terminology may be based either on the action of the accelerating vehicle or the reaction of the passenger, the terms used are often confusing to a reader without prior knowledge of the system of terminology used. Probably the most easily understood system is the eyeballs in, eyeballs out, eyeballs down, eyeballs up, etc., terminology used by test pilots, which refers to the sensations experienced by the person being accelerated. Thus, the acceleration experienced in an aircraft pullout or inside loop is eyeballs down. Note that, in the NASA vehicle(center of gravity displacement) terminology, this is-az acceleration. Some physiological-acceleration terminologies designate accelerations in terms of the equivalent displacement acceleration of the subject as if he were starting from rest. In such terminologies a man standing up or sitting down on the surface of the earth is experiencing 1 g of headward acceleration because of gravity. Other descriptive terms used in this way are footward, forward(the acceleration experienced by a man pressed into the seat back by an accelerating vehicle), rearward, leftward, rightward, spineward, sternumward, and tailward. One terminology based on reaction uses the terms head-to-foot(the acceleration generated by a pullout in an aircraft), chest-to-back, foot-to-head, and back-to-chest.

... a system of mutually perpendicular reference axes fixed in an aircraft ... and moving with it.

CONT

A good understanding of the basic axis system used to describe aircraft motion is necessary to fully appreciate flight test data, since all measurements are referenced to this axis system. Aircraft translational motion is described in terms of motion in three different directions, each direction being perpendicular to the other two(orthogonal). Motion in the X direction is forward and aft velocity. The Y direction produces sideways motion to the left and right, and up and down motion is in the Z direction... There are several slightly different versions of the basic axis system just described. They differ primarily in the exact placement of the zero reference lines, but are generally similar in their directions.(For example, the body-axis system uses the fuselage center line as the x axis, while a wind-axis system uses the direction that the aircraft is moving through the air as the x axis.)

Diesel and electric loaders of the LHD(load-haul-dump) variety are high in productivity and have greater flexibility and lower maintenance costs than rail systems... Today's LHDs are long, low-profile units with four-wheel drive and equal speed in forward and reverse directions. They have center articulation for good tracking and maneuverability on the tight turns found underground. Bucket linkages are usually simplified, with only one bucket cylinder on small-capacity models. Brake systems are generally all-hydraulic, and power drive to all four wheels is through a torque converter with full powershift transmission. Bucket capacities range from 1 to 15 cu yd.
