The CESAM Multimedia Consortium brings together leaders and experts in information, telecommunications, educational technologies, the arts and the media in Québec. The diversity of its membership has made it the sole business grouping covering the gamut of the New Media spectrum-from content development to finished product delivery. To develop a critical mass of expertise in Québec and to ensure national and international leadership in multimedia service and product innovation, CESAM activities fit into the following four headings : market awareness and promotion; training; experimentation and pre-startup and business intelligence. The senior members are Bell Canada, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the Centre de recherche informatique de Montréal, the Groupe TVA inc., SGI Canada, Teleglobe inc. and Transcontinental e-media.

Le Consortium multimédia CESAM regroupe des experts et des chefs de file des technologies de l'information, des télécommunications, de l'éducation, des arts et des médias du Québec. La diversité de ses membres en fait le seul groupe d'affaires rassemblant les intervenants de la chaîne complète des nouveaux médias, de la conception du contenu jusqu'à la transmission du produit final. Afin de favoriser la consolidation d'une masse critique d'expertise du Québec et assurer un leadership national et international en innovation de produits et services multimédias, le CESAM offre des activités dans quatre volets : la commercialisation et la promotion, la formation, le prédémarrage et l'expérimentation, et les normes. Les membres dirigeants sont Bell Canada, le Centre de recherche informatique de Montréal, le Groupe TVA inc., SGI Canada, la Société Radio-Canada, Téléglobe Entreprises Média et Transcontinental e.média.

The Multimedia Experimentation Fund is run by the CESAM Multimedia Consortium and receives financial support from the Government of Canada, through Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions. The Multimedia Experimentation Fund offers pre-startup support for entrepreneurs with multimedia projects.
