More than thirty years later, AFCOOP is the oldest film co-op in English-speaking Canada. The Atlantic Filmmakers’ Cooperative(AFCOOP) is a non-profit organization and a member-run arts-centre for the production and presentation of creative films in a collaborative, learning environment. It is also an inclusive, welcoming organization that has undertaken outreach efforts to reach artists who are members of under-served communities. AFCOOP's Objectives are to : Provide assistance to members for the production of independent, non-commercial films; Provide facilities and instruction for the training of filmmakers; Provide film-related programming within the community.

The Maritime Farmers’ Council is a regional co-ordinating organization representing the three maritime Federations of Agriculture(New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island) plus Co-op Atlantic(a feed manufacturing wholesaling co-operative organization). Its purpose is to co-ordinate those activities which are regional in scope, and to formulate policies representative of its member-organizations so as to make their views known to outside organizations and agencies. It also serves an educational role, planning workshops and co-ordinating conferences to deal with current issues. The Council serves as a resource used to develop agricultural policies within the Maritime region. The Council' s operations are funded by its four member-organizations.

Le Maritime Farmers' Council est un organisme de coordination régional qui représente les trois fédérations agricoles des provinces maritimes (Nouveau-Brunswick, Nouvelle-Écosse et Île-du-Prince-Edouard) et Co-op Atlantic (coopérative spécialisée dans la production et la vente en gros d'aliments du bétail). Cet organisme a pour mission de coordonner l'activité à caractère plus spécialement régional et d'agir comme porte-parole auprès des autres associations et organismes en formulant des politiques fidèles aux préoccupations de ses membres. Le MFC a aussi une fonction éducative puisqu'il prépare des ateliers et organise des conférences sur des sujets d'actualité. Il sert également d'organisme-ressource dans l'élaboration de politiques agricoles pour la région des Maritimes. Les quatre organisations qui en sont membres en financent les opérations.
