This program provides assistance to Aboriginal non-profit organizations and Aboriginal co-op groups who own and operate rental housing projects in urban areas. The program requirements are generally the same as for the Non-Profit Housing Program. Most units committed under the Urban Native Housing Program are inhabited by Aboriginal clients.

Manitoba Family Services and Housing. The Index-Linked Mortgage(ILM) Co-operative Housing Program supports the operation of non-profit co-operatives that were developed to provide housing for moderate income members. Co-op members purchase equity shares in the project and collectively become owners and managers of the building. Subsidies may be available to low-income members. People who want to become tenants in an existing project must purchase a share in the co-op.

Services à la famille et Logement Manitoba. Le Programme de prêts hypothécaires indexés (PHI) aux coopératives d'habitation soutient le fonctionnement de coopératives d'habitation sans but lucratif qui ont été établies pour fournir un logement à des membres à revenu modeste. Les membres de la coopérative achètent une part dans l'ensemble d'habitations et en deviennent les propriétaires et administrateurs collectifs.
