Agriculture drones have a wide range of uses. For starters, they can be used in monitoring crop growth in real time. By taking aerial photographs... or videos... of large farm fields, farmers and agriculturists can identify potential problems with their crops before they become serious issues.... Drones in agriculture have also helped lower labor costs associated with traditional crop production practices by reducing the need for manual labor in areas such as scouting pest and disease infestations, detecting soil variations, measuring water content in the soil, or assessing fertilizer requirements. Additionally, some advanced models come equipped with sensors that measure light, temperature, pH levels in soil, and other essential parameters related to crop health. 5, record 2, English, - agricultural%20drone

The economy exists entirely within society, because all parts of the human economy require interaction among people. However, society is much more than just the economy. Friends and families, music and art, religion and ethics are important elements of society, but are not primarily based on exchanging goods and services. Society, in turn, exists entirely within the environment. Our basic requirements--air, food and water--come from the environment, as do the energy and raw materials for housing, transportation and the products we depend on. Finally, the environment surrounds society. At an earlier point in human history, the environment largely determined the shape of society. Today the opposite is true : human activity is reshaping the environment at an ever-increasing rate. The parts of the environment unaffected by human activity are getting smaller all the time. 2, record 14, English, - human%20economy

3, record 14, French, - %C3%A9conomie%20humaine

The Dominion Observatory was founded for very pragmatic reasons. The objective was to have a longitude reference (with associated time signal) for surveying in Canada: "To open up the West". Surveyors in the field would compare the time signal of the Dominion Observatory with their local time determined by astronomical observations - the difference corresponding to longitude difference between Canada’s prime meridian (Dominion Observatory) and their location. Construction of the building began in July 1902 was completed in 1905. 2, record 40, English, - Dominion%20Observatory

The Dominion Observatory was an astronomical observatory in Ottawa, Canada that operated from 1905 to 1970. The Observatory was also an institution within the Canadian Federal Government. The observatory grew out of the Department of the Interior's need for the precise coordinates and timekeeping that at that time could only come from an observatory. For several years they had used a small observatory on the Ottawa River for this purpose. In 1902 it was decided that Canada needed a larger national observatory similar to the Royal Greenwich Observatory in Britain. The new building was thus erected near Dow's Lake on the Agriculture Department's Central Experimental Farm land. This building was completed in 1905. Its main instrument was a 15 inch refracting telescope, the largest refracting telescope ever installed in Canada. While the building and institution were primarily dedicated to astronomical timekeeping in support of surveying, a number of other activities took place here. The Dominion Observatory was Canada's leading institution in Geophysics for many decades, which included the operation of Canada's national seismometer network. The facility did important work but with this bridgehead into the world of astronomy and the growth of the field of astrophysics Canadian astronomers quickly demanded a facility designed for the new scientific age. 3, record 40, English, - Dominion%20Observatory

Note that if were making a geologic map, we could draw a line on the map that separates the pelitic rocks containing only Pyrophyllite from those containing Kyanite + Quartz. Such a line(a surface in 3 dimensions) is called an isograd(iso-same, grad-grade). In this case, since it represents the first appearance of Kyanite, we call it the Kyanite Isograd... If we continue walking along the direction that T & P increased in these rocks during metamorphism, we would eventually come to another place where in the pelitic rocks the mineral assemblage changes. This time the change is from Kyanite + Quartz to Sillimanite + Quartz. Again, we can draw a line on the map that indicates this change in mineral assemblage, this time calling it the Sillimanite Isograd. Just like before, this represents the point on the phase diagram, above, where the geothermal gradient intersected the boundary for the reaction... Because the sandstone and the limestone do not contain Kyanite, the isograd does not appear in these rocks, but we can still extrapolate its position across the map or outcrop. 3, record 43, English, - sillimanite%20isograd

A batter has an at bat every time he faces a pitcher, except in the following circumstances : He receives a base on balls(BB). He is hit by a pitch(HBP). He hits a sacrifice fly or a sacrifice hit(also known as sacrifice bunt). He is awarded first base due to interference or obstruction, usually by the catcher. The inning ends while he is still at bat(due to the third out being made by a runner caught stealing, for example). In this case, the batter will come to bat again in the next inning, though he now has no balls or strikes on him. ... "At bat," "up," "up at bat," and "at the plate" are all [expressions] describing a batter who is facing the pitcher. Note that just because a player is described as being "at bat" in this sense, he will not necessarily be given an at bat in his statistics; the phrase actually signifies a plate appearance (assuming it is eventually completed). This ambiguous terminology is usually clarified by context. To refer explicitly to the technical meaning of "at bat" described above, the term "official at bat" is sometimes used. 1, record 47, English, - at%20bat

With the stock market’s downward slide, many employers are finding themselves caught in deep water on the issue of stock options. As companies’ stocks dive, the employees they retained and lured with options are waking up to the fact that the current price of the stock has sunk below the exercise price of their options.

(cf. TV Quiz Games. These instructional games take the form of an ordinary television quiz game. Typical of these is "Meet the Presidents. "Here, the student is given clues about the identity of a president of the United States and must guess who it is. The clues come in two forms. First, a detailed computer picture of the president in question slowly appears on the screen. Second, as this happens, clues as to his identity are flashed at the bottom of the screen. At any time the player may type in a guess. The sooner the correct name is entered, the higher the number of points awarded. 1, record 75, English, - television%20quiz%20game

A retroactive statute is one that operates backwards, i. e., that is operative as of a time prior to its enactment, either by being deemed to have come into force at a time prior to its enactment(e. g., budgetary measures) or by being expressed to be operative with respect to past transactions as of a past time(e. g., acts of indemnity). A retroactive statute is easier to recognize because the retroactivity is usually express. A retrospective statute, on the other hand, changes the law only for the future but looks backward by attaching new consequences to completed transactions. it thus opens up closed transactions and changes their consequences as of the future. 1, record 78, English, - retrospective%20statute

The Criminal Code requires that each count of an information or indictment must be set out in a separate paragraph and shall in general refer to a single transaction. For policy reasons, the term has come to mean more than merely an incident or occurrence, and depending upon circumstances, a single transaction may involve multiple victims or incidents. Thus, a single transaction may validly encompass a number of occurrences(incidents) if they are related or closely connected in time and place. Examples of validly charged single transactions include the theft of several articles by one or more accused persons or sexual attacks perpetrated by one offender against the same victim. 1, record 80, English, - single%20transaction%20rule

1, record 80, French, - r%C3%A8gle%20de%20la%20seule%20op%C3%A9ration

"Psychophagi"(Castler's term) are hardly ever encountered among them. Feeling the beginnings of osmosis, which may come about as the result of purely accidental approaches and fluctuations-feeling this threat in a manner that is of course nonphysical, much as someone might sense another's presence or even hear "strange voices" in his own mind-the personoids execute active avoidance maneuvers; they withdraw and go their separate ways. It is on account of this phenomenon that they have come to know the meaning of the concepts of "good" and "evil. "To them it is evident that "evil" lies in the destruction of another, and "good" in another's deliverance. At the same time, the "evil" of one may be the "good"(i. e., the gain, now in the nonethical sense) of another, who would become a "psychophage. " 1, record 81, English, - psychophage

1, record 84, French, - expression%20corporelle
