Following an arrest, an individual may be detained at one of three CBSA [Canada Border Services Agency] immigration holding centres(IHC) in Canada(Laval, Quebec, Toronto, Ontario and Surrey, British Columbia). Hosted by the Correctional Service of Canada in collaboration with the Canadian International Development Agency and Queen's University, this symposium brought together 100 representatives of criminal justice systems, academia, and non-governmental organizations.
