Corrosion scales formed on iron pipe surfaces are an important factor defining water quality in drinking water distribution systems, since they would release contaminants and cause water discoloration at transient hydrodynamic regimes. 2, record 1, French, - d%C3%A9p%C3%B4t%20de%20corrosion

Science has also developed a process known as "electrodeposition" or more specifically known as "electroplating" whereby a coating of one or more different metals may be separately or simultaneously deposited upon another pure metal or alloy commonly known as the base metal. During this process there are no profound or important changes in the physical or chemical characteristics of the constitutent metals, except possibly at the immediate interfacing. This process has not resulted in a new class of metals but has produced a product well known and familiar to industry and the arts as "electroplated metals." 3, record 2, English, - electroplated%20metal

For new tanks four options exist : fiberglass reinforced plastic(FRP) ;steel, if cathodically protected; a Steel-FRP composite; or metal with no corrosion protection of certain soil conditions exist. New piping that routinely contains product must also meet the requirements. With more than 60 years of experience in developing corrosion prevention and control standards, NACE International has become the largest organization in the world committed to the study of corrosion. 2, record 21, French, - air%20sec
