In partnership with Human Resources Development Canada, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police(RCMP) Summer Student Program gives students the opportunity to work alongside regular members as sworn peace officers with powers of arrest and dressed in regular uniform. Students perform a variety of duties, with the objective of gaining knowledge of and experience in front and operations of the criminal justice system and the RCMP. Managed by the Crime Prevention/Victims’ Services Branch of the RCMP, the program runs from May to September each year.
