A synthetic fibre made from two fibre-forming polymers which may be arranged to lie side-by-side or as a sheath surrounding a core. By suitable heat treatment a crimped fibre is produced because of the different shrinkage properties of the two polymers. Advantage may also be taken of the sheath having a lower softening temperature than the core to produce a non-woven fabric. 4, record 3, English, - bicomponent%20fiber

Drip Irrigation.... Water is delivered in small quantities under low pressure directly to... the root zone of the plants. You’ll need 1/2 inch polyethylene header pipe, and a roll of thin tape-like porous tubing. The header pipe connects to a garden hose and routes water through the garden. The pipe is placed either down the center or along one end of the garden. Small puncture holes are then made with a screwdriver into the header pipe at intervals corresponding to garden row. Eight-to ten-inch pieces of rubber connecting hose are then inserted into these holes. The other end of the connecting hose attaches to a length of porous tape. This tape is rolled out along each vegetable bed and cut to the same length as the row. Then end of the tape is then crimped to prevent water loss when the system is in use. Porous irrigation tape is best placed about three to four inches away from the base of the plants. 1, record 23, English, - porous%20irrigation%20tape

High-frequency sealing is the most-used method for sealing laminated tubes. Its advantages include excellent seal strength and high speeds. In this system, high frequency current is sent through the tube causing the aluminum foil layer to heat up. [The plain detonator] consists of an aluminum tube closed at one end and partly filled with a sensitive initiating explosive. The tube is only partially filled because a plain detonator is always used in conjunction with a safety fuse, and the empty space enables the fuse to be inserted into the tube until it comes into contact with the detonating composition. The safety fuse is then secured in position by indenting the detonator tube, this process being known as crimping.
