1, record 1, French, - connaissance%20de%20la%20situation%20cybermaritime

Optimal application of protein engineering technology will require understanding how the amino acid sequence of a polypeptide chain specifies its spatial conformation. It is now clear that polypeptide chain folding and subunit assembly proceeds through sequential pathways involving defined intermediates. The critical amino acid instructions directing these pathways appear to be dispersed through the sequence... Very similar patterns of chain folding and domain structure can arise from different amino acid sequences that show little or no homology. The immunoglobulins are a prime example of conservation of structure despite extensive differences in amino acid sequence. 3, record 4, English, - chain%20folding

To become applicable, most didactic strategies must be combined with the constraints provided by the structure of the domain and with the resources provided by the model of expertise. In general, the problem of merging didactic and domain knowledge dynamically-a theme of further work on MENO-TUTOR(Woolf and McDonald, 1984a)-can be quite complex. The resulting articulation is critical to pretting curriculum decisions and explanation generation under the system's control. 1, record 6, English, - domain%20database

An important concept for the design of diagnostic tests is that of a primitive subskill. This concept is also critical for curriculum construction, especially if the process is automated as in BIP. For a given domain the exact set of these subskills can be extremely difficult to define. Equipped with the tools of the BUGGY model, Burton(1982) suggests that a partition of the theory of bugs be used to define a primitive subskill as "any isolatable part of the skill that it is possible to mislearn"(p. 177). More formally, the set of all observable bugs is partitioned under the equivalence relation of giving wrong answers on the same problems, considering all possible problems. Then a primitive subskill is an equivalence class in this partition; in other words, it is a part of the skill that corresponds to bugs manifesting in exactly the same problems. In practice, one need only consider a finite number of problems. 1, record 7, English, - primitive%20subskill
