Simplistically, [animal] feeds consist of two major fractions—water and dry matter. While water is physiologically critical, the nutrients(energy, protein, minerals, and vitamins) are found in the dry matter fraction, so it is important to know what percentage of the feed is associated with dry matter. Although the quantity of dry matter in a feed will not change, the amount of water present may change, and this will determine the dry matter percentage. 4, record 10, English, - dry%20matter%20percentage

The ocean and the atmosphere form a complex coupled system, exchanging gases, water(and water vapour), particles, momentum, and energy at the air-sea interface. A Superconducting Tunnel Junction(STJ-or Josephson junction) consists of two thin films of a superconducting metal such as niobium, tantalum or hafnium separated by a thin insulating layer. When operated at temperatures well below the superconductor's critical temperature(typically below 1 K), the equilibrium state of the junction is easily perturbed by any photon striking it. By applying a small bias voltage across the junction and a suitable parallel magnetic field to suppress the Josephson current, an electrical charge proportional to the energy of the perturbing photon can be extracted from the device. 1, record 20, English, - superconducting%20tunnel%20junction

The enormous current generated during a short circuit produces damaging heat at a much faster rate than can be safely dispersed. Interrupt the current and you stop adding heat to the system. Time is a critical determinant of the amount of heat(energy) added. An electrical short that lasts three cycles, for example, adds six times the energy of one lasting just one-half cycle. It's in this sense that all circuit breakers and fuses "limit" current. Add a current limiting device, i. e. ususally a fuse, but sometimes a circuit breaker and fuse in series, that restricts the fault current to a value less than the starter's short-circuit withstand rating. 3, record 23, English, - current%20limiting%20device

In order to determine the requirements of paper used to make bags and sacks, a number of investigations were carried out in North America and Europe to find out how paper sacks fail. The results showed that tensile energy absorption(TEA) is the critical parameter when a full sack is dropped on end(butt drop). For flat drop resistance, both TEA and tear strength should be at a high level. 1, record 26, English, - flat%20drop

2, record 26, French, - chute%20en%20position%20horizontale

Stresses in the critical parts of the pile, such as the tip, the center of driving resistance, or at tops of hard strata, should be computed by dividing the ultimate driving resistance corresponding to the applied energy and set by the net area of the pile at that point. 1, record 28, English, - center%20of%20driving%20resistance
