The Department of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada has close to 1, 000 women working in support category jobs. In recognition of this critical mass of employees, the Deputy Minister has established a committee of support category employees who advise him on issues faced by this group. The advisory committee is called the Bridging the Gap Advisory Board.
