A gender-based analysis(GBA) is a tool to both understand the local context and to support gender equality. A GBA examines the relationships between men and women, girls and boys, their access to resources, their activities, and the constraints they face relative to each other in a particular context. It identifies the varied roles played by women and men, girls and boys in the household, community, workplace, political processes and economy. These different roles often result in women having less access to and control over resources, and less participation and influence in decision-making processes. A GBA also considers how other intersecting identity factors such as race, ethnicity, LGBTQ2I [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, two-spirit, intersex], legal status, ability, language, religion, socio-economic status, and education, affect individual and group experiences, including among women and among men. Gender equality is not exclusively about women's or girls’ issues and is not only about working with or for women and girls. Men's and boys’ engagement is critical. 5, record 5, English, - gender%2Dbased%20analysis

7, record 5, French, - analyse%20comparative%20entre%20les%20sexes

… the critical importance of accounting correctly for the relationship between wind availability and demand … shows clearly that over the winters 2006-9, the mean wind load factor across the hours of very highest demand was considerably lower than the mean load factor across more typical(lower) winter demands. This confirms that any group of hours spread across the whole winter, without consideration of demand level, will not be representative of absolute peak demand; plotting the mean load factor across all hours above a certain demand combines the degree of aggregation which is needed to reveal any trend, with the necessary focus on the hours of highest demand. 1, record 17, English, - mean%20load%20factor

2, record 25, French, - s%C3%A9quence%20didactique

Online learning support is an integral part of the online learning process in guiding learners and providing feedback(Coomey & Stephenson, 2001; Oliver, 2001). In learner-centred instruction, learners direct and control various aspects of their learning(e. g. learning outcomes, choice of group members), with instructors in the background providing advice and general guidelines on resources and procedures. Various means of online learning support include :-Learning guides(e. g. generic ones on study and research skills or specific guides on how to complete a particular online course).-Online mentors and buddies who facilitate, coach or guide learners through the course.-Online personal learning portfolios(e. g. learners’ journals, personal learning logs) to promote self-reflection(a critical component of learner-centred instruction).-Online public learning portfolios to encourage peer review and feedback on each other's work. 1, record 26, English, - online%20learning%20support

A critical reaction in all organisms is the transfer of an amino group from one carbon skeleton to another by the process of transamination. Frequently, the most active exchange is between glutamate and aspartate.... 2, record 30, French, - transamination

One of Canadian Tire Corp. Ltd. 's approaches to dealing with the challenge of productivity improvement is employee ownership. The firm is committed to the concept of share ownership for its profit-sharing plans. The plan is a broad coverage plan that applies equally to all full-time employees. Broad-based employee ownership increases the recognized value of the firm's business. Employees have stronger peer pressures to perform to the group standard, and they are more cost conscious.
