Continuous damping control(CDC)... prevents a build up of rolling and pitching movements during cornering, rapid lane changes or heavy braking manoeuvres. This makes the vehicle easier to control in these critical driving situations. The system automatically adjusts the hardness of the chassis damping elements to the driving situation. The damper setting is softer during normal driving situations to maximise driving comfort. The driver can also adjust the damping manually.

L'amortisseur est un élément essentiel de la suspension. [...] Et lorsque ses réglages sont fixes, ils représentent forcément un compromis entre la fermeté nécessaire à la tenue de route et la souplesse indispensable à un bon confort. L'amortissement piloté a été conçu pour dépasser ce compromis en s'adaptant aux circonstances. Il est ainsi capable de faire varier, en temps réel, le contrôle des débattements de roue en fonction de la ­vitesse du véhicule, du profil de la route ou du style de conduite. Les amplitudes seront ainsi peu bridées en ligne droite, à allure stabilisée. Elles le seront davantage en virage, au freinage ou à l'accélération. L'idée générale est de préserver le confort tout en conservant une assiette la plus constante possible.
