Extractivism is the process of extracting natural resources from the Earth to sell on the world market. It exists in an economy that depends primarily on the extraction or removal of natural resources that are considered valuable for exportation worldwide. Some examples of resources that are obtained through extraction include gold, diamonds, lumber and oil. This economic model has become popular in many Latin American countries but is becoming increasingly prominent in other regions as well. 2, record 4, English, - extractivism

Human Resources Development Canada(HRDC) through its network of Human Resource Centres, administers the Caribbean/Mexican Seasonal Agricultural Workers Program on behalf of the Government of Canada. HRDC requires employers, through their human resource planning strategies, to ensure that Canadian citizens and permanent residents are always considered for employment before employing foreign workers. The Caribbean/Mexican Seasonal Agricultural Workers’ Program was first implemented in 1966 following negotiations between Canada and Jamaica to facilitate the entry of Jamaican workers for temporary employment in the growing and processing of agricultural products during peak demand periods. The C/MSAWP was created to provide a supplementary source of reliable and qualified seasonal labour in order to improve Canada's prosperity by ensuring that crops are planted and harvested in a timely fashion. These measures help to maintain the livelihoods of Canadian and permanent resident workers in the agricultural industry as well as in other industries that directly or indirectly participate in and benefit from a strong and vital agricultural industry. In Ontario this program has responded to a critical shortage of available workers suitable for seasonal agricultural work. 3, record 7, English, - Caribbean%20and%20Mexican%20Seasonal%20Agricultural%20Workers%20Program

2, record 7, French, - Programme%20des%20travailleurs%20agricoles%20saisonniers%20des%20Antilles%20et%20du%20Mexique

The need for valid tests of complex operational aptitude is increasing as the explosion in information technology and associated automation makes more complex operations possible and the cost of placing the wrong person in charge greater than ever. Increasing the information available gives the operator more to attend to, and automation makes it all the more important and difficult to keep track of everything that is going on and decide when some intervention is critical. This is now called situational awareness, and in the case of crew operations, we call it team resource management. 1, record 15, English, - Team%20Resource%20Management

1, record 15, French, - gestion%20des%20ressources%20d%27%C3%A9quipe
