Ecological agriculture, also known as eco-agriculture, is a farming approach that aligns with ecological principles and emphasizes environmental sustainability. While sharing similarities with sustainable agriculture, ecological agriculture places a stronger emphasis on specific technologies and practices... Ecological agriculture integrates ecological processes into agricultural systems to reduce negative environmental impacts and promote sustainable productivity. In contrast to conventional practices that are reliant on synthetic fertilizers and insecticides, ecological agriculture emphasizes working in harmony with nature and utilizing natural inputs and techniques, such as organic fertilizers, crop rotation, agroforestry, biological pest control, and alternative cultivation. 3, record 6, English, - ecological%20agriculture

Intensive energy forestry is a form of highly mechanizable cultivation of genetically selected, fast-growing, coppicing woody plants grown with agricultural methods. The physical, chemical and biological conditions of the soil often need to be improved in order to ensure a reliable establishment and an intensive management, characterized by undisturbed physiological production processes and a better-than-normal development of the crop. After an optimal rotation length(3-10 years), the stand can be harvested in its dormant stage without damaging roots or stools. The ultimate goal is maximizing the sustained utilization of the site to highest profitability without causing any environmental hazard. 3, record 27, English, - energy%20forestry

It should be emphasized that the integration of herbicides into the crop protection program or system needs careful consideration. Main factors to be considered are the rotation sequence, the most common weed or complexes of weeds in the field, and their density and duration. Effort should be made in choosing and matching the particular herbicide(s) with the specific weed species or complexes of weeds present, the geographic location, and edaphic and environmental conditions. Many combinations of herbicides result in either additive or synergistic effects on weeds. The activity of soil-acting herbicides depends on such factors as persistence, absorption properties of the soil, soil organic matter, soil types, soil moisture, and cultivation. Herbicide rates may need to be adjusted on the basis of soil texture and type. As well as effects of soil on the performance of herbicides, there are converse effects of the herbicides on soil properties.... 2, record 39, English, - integrated%20weed%20management
