At the lowest level of the control framework are the intersection control nodes. As the name implies, these computers are located at each intersection where they gather and feed real-time data back to an area server. This information might include a pedestrian waiting to cross the street, or a damaged traffic pole. The area servers, which can each connect up to 256 control nodes, become the main communicators for the entire system, sending and retrieving data and commands to both the operations computer and to the appropriate intersection control node. 1, record 2, English, - in%20real%20time

The new Noise Gate is everything a pro sound designer could wish for. Besides standard parameters like Threshold, Attack, and Release, the Hold time and Hysteresis(distance between open and close threshold) parameters will give you complete control over any signal. Thanks to the filters in the monitorable sidechain, you can even split heavily cross talking toms. The Lookahead control should end the debate between "analog vs. digital". This is a superior tool that no sound designer will want to live without... 3, record 3, English, - noise%20gate

The Space Shuttle stops within 50 meters of Mir, which is approximately one-half the length of a football field. From that position the Space Shuttle waits for clearance from Mission Control to continue. When the command is given to continue, the Reaction Control System is activated again and the Space Shuttle closes in on Mir at a speed of about 0. 05 meters per second until it reaches a distance of about 9 meters. There, the Space Shuttle stops again and waits for approximately 5 minutes. The Commander and Pilot make sure they can see the docking target clearly and fine-tune the alignment of the Space Shuttle with the docking target. A large black cross called the Stand-off Cross is mounted 30 centimeters(cm) above the back plate in the center of the target. When the Commander has the Stand-off Cross squarely in line with the docking target, he or she maneuvers the Space Shuttle and makes contact with the docking ring. Once a series of hooks is engaged, the Space Shuttle is then successfully docked with Mir. 2, record 5, English, - docking%20target

Most of the corticospinal fibers cross in the decussation of the pyramids and descend in the spinal cord as the lateral corticospinal tract; most of the uncrossed fibers form the anterior corticospinal tract; both end by synapsing with internuncial and motor neurons. The pyramidal tract is a phylogenetically new tract, most prominent in man, and provides for direct cortical control and initiation of skilled movements, especially those related to speech and involving the hand and fingers. 1, record 6, English, - pyramidal%20tract

The process of communicating air surveillance and tactical data information between command and control systems or between facilities within the systems. Telling may be classified into the following types : 1. Back tell-The transfer of information from a higher to a lower echelon of command. 2. Cross tell-the transfer of information between facilities at the same operational level. Also called "lateral tell" 3. Forward tell-The transfer of information to a higher level of command. 4. Overlap tell-The transfer of information to an adjacent facility concerning tracks detected in the adjacent facility's area of responsibility. 5. Relateral tell-The relay of information between facilities through the use of a third facility.
