Tidal gravitational fields lead to differential deflection of light bundles. The size and shape of their cross sections are therefore changed. Since photons are neither emitted nor absorbed in the process of gravitational light deflection, the surface brightness of lensed sources remains unchanged. Changing the size of the cross section of a light bundle therefore changes the flux observed from a source. The different images in multiple-image systems generally have different fluxes. The images of extended sources, i. e. sources which can observationally be resolved, are deformed by the gravitational tidal field. 3, record 1, English, - tidal%20gravitational%20field

In the Rhône delta it blows also from the south. The marin is associated with depressions that cross southern France or northern Spain and the Gulf of Lions. Generally, it is strong and regular, sometimes violent and turbulent in hilly country as the ayalas in the Massif Central; it is very humid, cloudy with hill fog, and often rainy(unless unaccompanied by fronts, when it is the marin blanc). The heavy rains, which may continue for one or two days on the mountain slopes, cause dangerous river floods. On the western slope of the Cévennes it becomes the autan. In the southern Cévennes the marin is called the aygalas. On the coast of Catalonia(northeast Spain) and Roussillon(southern France) it is the marinada and generally occurs with a depression centered over or south of the Gulf of Gascony. 2, record 14, English, - marin

An international humanitarian agency organized after the battle of Solferino(1859), concerned in peacetime with health and safety and in wartime with caring for wounded and the prevention and alleviation of human suffering generally. It has now a world-wide organization, based in Geneva, together with national societies. The first multilateral agreement on the Red Cross, the Geneva Convention of 1964, committed signatory governments to care for wounded, both friend and foe, and this was later revised and extended to warfare at sea(1907), prisoners of war(1929), and civilians in wartime(1949). 2, record 21, English, - International%20Red%20Cross
