Multifocal ERGs(mfERGs) are obtained by stimulating the central 30° to 50° of the retina with a contiguous array of flickering hexagons. Each element is independently alternated between black(off) and white(illuminated) according to a pseudorandom binary order called the m-sequence. Multiple hexagons are simultaneously alternated, but the m-sequence determines that no pattern of simultaneous hexagon stimulation is repeated twice in the sequence. Cross-correlation techniques associate ERG activity with localized retinal areas and provide a topology(map) of the test field's retinal sensitivity. 6, record 1, English, - multifocal%20electroretinogram

In general, full-field ERGs [electroretinograms] better quantify whole-retina disorders such as RP [retinitis pigmentosa] and cone or rod dystrophies, whereas mfERGs are best depicting field loss in the central 40 degrees of the visual field. 7, record 1, English, - multifocal%20electroretinogram

The basic defect of the receiving system was its high sensitivity to the reverberation generated by the set's very high power transmissions and the use of rapid scanning to achieve omnidirectional coverage on a single transmission. This effectively precluded the separation of reverberation and noise backgrounds during processing. The only solution to this problem lay in the use of preformed receiving beams(as in Type 177), which allowed this separation, and, indeed, allowed parallel processing of narrow-band channels(cross-correlation or matched-filter processing) to reduce detection threshold and extract [Doppler] information. 1, record 4, English, - narrow%2Dband%20channel

Any dendrochronological study involves the establishment of cross-correlations between ring patterns. This is true for chronology extension, dating against floating, or standard chronologies and comparison of chronologies from different areas.... 3, record 10, French, - datation%20par%20recoupement
Record number: 10, Textual support number: 2 CONT
