Pedigree analysis of two-factor and three-factor crosses is used to map the genes in terms of cross-over frequencies. 1, record 3, French, - enjambements%20multiples

It is called a cross-over stride because it is difficult to think of a better name, especially since the term "cross-step" does not really describe the action... The right leg was picked up fairly straight with heel leading, and on landing the right foot was at 90 degrees to the line of throw, resulting in a deceleration of the forward speed of the body. This action, known as the "cross-step", is very seldom seen today. 3, record 10, English, - cross%2Dstep

Sideskipping is a series of quick side steps with one’s shoulders parallel to the net. Such a movement is required to bring a player close enough to the ball so that an effective stroke can be made. 4, record 15, English, - shuffle%20step

The term "shuffle step" is almost always used in the plural, since more than one is generally required to move from one point to another. The term "side step", in the singular, is but a single segment in the process of sideskipping. This latter term more often than not denotes an action rather than the result thereof. We prefer the term "cross-under" because it helps us to stay ski focused rather than body focused. When we think "cross-under", we have a better understanding of the skis accelerating under the hips and the feet going further than the center of mass. The feet speed up and slow down while the CM maintains a more constant speed. 1, record 19, English, - cross%2Dunder

Many ski technicians call the divergence of these paths a "cross-over" movement. They see that the body crosses over the skis. The CM starts over the skis, moves in a little and moves still further inside as angulation increases. 1, record 19, English, - cross%2Dunder

Multiaxial non crimp fabrics. Cotech fabrics from Tech Textiles are a composite reinforcing form; it organises unidirectional fibres... into layers of variable weight and orientation which are then stitched together with a light thread. This technique enables the production of fabrics for the composite industry... The fabrics are not produced by weaving and therefore present no crimp due to the cross-over of yarns; the fiber bundles lie straight in the primary load plane... 1, record 29, English, - multiaxial%20non%20crimp%20fabric

Linkage analysis category includes the oldest group of mapping methods. Pedigree analysis of two-factor and three-factor crosses is used to map the genes in terms of cross-over frequencies. The distance between genes is specified in terms of the map unit of centimorgan(cMo). Two genes are separated by a distance of n centimorgans(map units) if there is an n percent frequency of cross-overs between them. For short distances the cross-over frequency is equal to the recombination frequency, whereas for longer distances there are an appreciable number of multiple cross-overs, and the recombination frequency underestimates the map distance. 2, record 30, English, - map

2, record 30, French, - %C3%A9tablir%20une%20carte

Thermally bonded non-woven geotextiles are produced by spraying continuous polymer filaments on to a moving belt which is then passed through heated rollers. These compress the layer of loose filaments and cause partial melting of the polymer filaments, leading to thermal bonding at the filament cross-over points. The random distribution of the filaments as they are sprayed on to the belt ensures that each of these non-woven geotextiles contains a wider range of opening sizes than is found in a woven geotextile. The absence of any preferred orientation of the filaments, such as the warp and weft directions present in woven geotextiles, also gives non-woven geotextiles a more isotropic strength. 1, record 32, English, - thermally%20bonded%20non%2Dwoven%20geotextile
