A test of rupture of the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments of the knee. The knee can be subluxed anteriorly with external rotaion of the tibia, but the knee cannot be subluxed anteriorly with forced internal rotation of the tibia. 3, record 1, English, - Slocum%27s%20test
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
In Slocum’s test, the patient is positioned laterally with the healthy side down. The leg with the injured knee rests only on the medial side of the foot; the knee is unsupported. The examiner grasps the distal femur with one hand and the proximal tibia with the other and slowly flexes the knee. Again, a subluxation sign can be observed at about 30° flexion if anterior cruciate insufficiency is present. 4, record 1, English, - Slocum%27s%20test

1, record 1, French, - test%20de%20Slocum

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 DEF
A test for ligamentous instability of the knee performed by stabilizing the femur while placing a valgus stress on the knee by abducting the leg. A moderate joint line separation with the knee fully extended indicates a tear of the medial collateral ligament and the posterior capsule. If the test is only positive in 30 degrees of flexion, it represents an isolated medial collateral ligament tear. A marked medial joint line opening in extension is only possible when both cruciate ligaments are also torn. 3, record 2, English, - abduction%20test

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 DEF
1, record 2, French, - man%26oelig%3Buvre%20d%27abduction
