The road is accessible from Edmonton, Alberta, or Vancouver through Prince George, British Columbia, and extends on 2 500 kilometres(1, 523 miles) from Dawson Creek, on the border of Alberta and British Columbia, through Fort Nelson, British Columbia, Whitehorse and Haines Junction, Yukon Territory, and to Fairbanks or Anchorage to reach Seward on the Gulf of Alaska, Alaska.
