Acoustic reflex decay measures the ability of the stapedius muscle to maintain sustained contraction. During this test, a signal is presented 10 dB [decibels] above the acoustic reflex threshold for 10 s [seconds]. A response is considered abnormal if the response amplitude decreases to one half or less of its original amplitude within 5 s. Because reflex decay is common in many normal ears at higher test frequencies, frequencies of 500 Hz [hertz] and 1000 Hz are most often used in acoustic reflex decay tests. 3, record 11, English, - acoustic%20reflex%20decay%20test

Trap is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in the Southern United States during the early 1990s. The genre gets its name from the... slang word "trap, "which refers to a place in which drugs are sold illegally. Trap music uses synthesized drums and is characterized by complicated hi-hat patterns, tuned kick drums with a long decay... and lyrical content that often focuses on drug use and urban violence. It utilizes very few instruments and focuses almost exclusively on snare drums and double-or triple-timed hi-hats. 2, record 21, English, - trap%20music

Targeted alpha-particle therapy(or TAT) is an investigational method of targeted radionuclide therapy for various cancers and infectious diseases. It employs radioactive alpha-emitting substances which undergo decay to treat diseased tissue at close proximity. TAT has the potential to provide highly targeted treatment, especially to microscopic tumor cells. Targets include leukemias, lymphomas, gliomas, melanoma, peritoneal carcinomatosis and HIV. 2, record 28, English, - targeted%20alpha%20therapy

1, record 38, French, - refroidissement%20par%20noyage

Depreciation... due to physical causes... [It] pertains to the physical condition of the structure--the extent of its worn-outness. It is loss in value ordinarily brought about by the action of the elements, or by the wear and tear to which the property has been subjected, or simply as a result of the passage of time, or by all three. It is usually evidenced by decay, cracking, disrepair, structural defects, etc. For purposes of appraisal analysis, it is most common and convenient to divide physical deterioration into curable and incurable components. 3, record 44, English, - physical%20depreciation

Instrumental neutron activation analysis(INAA) is used to determine the concentration of trace and major elements in a variety of matrices. A sample is subjected to a neutron flux and radioactive nuclides are produced. As these radioactive nuclides decay, they emit gamma rays whose energies are characteristic for each nuclide. Comparison of the intensity of these gamma rays with those emitted by a standard permit a quantitative measure of the concentrations of the various nuclides. 2, record 58, English, - instrumental%20neutron%20activation%20analysis

2, record 76, Spanish, - mercantilismo
