Quick Facts : Work on the Lakeshore East Line is part of a larger, system-wide plan to improve overall GO Transit service, including the delivery of GO Regional Express Rail by 2024-25. CSU 89 was created as the result of the fusion of CSU 8 and CSU 9. The two groups have different clients and still hold their own separate meetings. "On April 1, 1996, RPS formally implemented a new organizational model based on Client Service Units(CSUs) and Centres of Expertise(COEs). The CSUs are a dedicated organizational unit through which services are provided to a singular client or a portfolio of clients. The CSUs are supported by COEs which act as stewards of skills and knowledge in RPS business lines and program management. COEs manage a resource pool that may dedicate people on a full time basis to a particular CSU or provide services from ’home base’ to a number of CSUs. The CSUs are revenue centres and the COEs are cost centres. The NCA plays a national role and as such, the CSUs and COEs in the NCA are called National Client Service Units(NSCUs) and National Centres of Expertise(NCOEs). In addition to the provision of operational services to the NCA, the NCOEs formulate policy, establish national product standards, develop new/enhanced products and services for delivery to the CSUs and oversee their implementation. The NCOEs provide functional direction to Regional COEs in support of Real Property Services nationally. When the Business Partnering Model was first presented, the role of a broker within the Director, Human Resources’ team had been developed whose responsibility was routing all requests to the appropriate service centre, tracking all requests to ensure service standards were met, and providing information to managers and the team on the status of individual service transactions. After long discussions, the broker role was replaced by a Business Line Team(BLT). This team is part of the Organization and Resourcing Services. On a matrix basis, a team will be set up for each client Branch/SOA. Headed by a Senior Consultant, reporting to the Resourcing Manager, the team represents a mix of skills and resources to meet client needs as defined by a service agreement negotiatied by the Director, Human Resources. The Senior Consultant, BLT and his/her team will work in partnership with the Director, HR team and will provide constant feed back on results and issues impacting service delivery to the client. Members of the BLT team are at all levels of the organization from support to officer. The make up of the Business Line Team is reviewed annually based on client business plans and service agreements. The Business Line Team is the client's single point of access for staffing, organization design and classification request. It is also responsible for providing these services in the most strategic and cost-efficient way for the client. The Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority(APSEA) is an interprovincial cooperative agency established in 1975 by joint agreement among the Ministers of Education of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. The agreement provided for the creation of the Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority and authorized it to provide educational services, programs, and opportunities for persons from birth to 21 years of age with low incidence sensory impairments. This includes children and youth who are deaf, deaf-blind, hard of hearing, blind, or visually impaired and who are residence of Atlantic Canada. The APSEA Agreement is the only one of its kind in Canada, and such, may serve as a model for service delivery at a regional level. NDDS-Network Data Distribution System. NDDS is commercial network middleware from RealTime Innovations that implements a publish-subscribe model. The publish-subscribe model is an information based paradigm where there are information producers and consumers. NDDS provides fast, deterministic data distribution over standard IP networks. This is accomplished via the UDP transport mechanism and a protocol built on top of UDP to ensure the delivery of messages.
