An occurrence associated with the operation of an aircraft which, in the case of a manned aircraft, takes place between the time any person boards the aircraft with the intention of flight until such time as all such persons have disembarked, or in the case of an unmanned aircraft, takes place between the time the aircraft is ready to move with the purpose of flight until such time it comes to rest at the end of the flight and the primary propulsion system is shut down, in which : a) a person is fatally or seriously injured as a result of :-being in the aircraft, or-direct contact with any part of the aircraft, including parts which have become detached from the aircraft, or-direct exposure to jet blast, except when the injuries are from natural causes, self-inflicted or inflicted by other persons, or when the injuries are to stowaways hiding outside the areas normally available to the passengers and crew; or b) the aircraft sustains damage or structural failure which :-adversely affects the structural strength, performance or flight characteristics of the aircraft, and-would normally require major repair or replacement of the affected component, except for engine failure or damage, when the damage is limited to a single engine(including its cowlings or accessories), to propellers, wing tips, antennas, probes, vanes, tires, brakes, wheels, fairings, panels, landing gear doors, windscreens, the aircraft skin(such as small dents or puncture holes) or for minor damages to main rotor blades, tail rotor blades, landing gear, and those resulting from hail or bird strike(including holes in the radome) ;or c) the aircraft is missing or is completely inaccessible. 5, record 1, English, - aircraft%20accident

[Powder snow] avalanches composed of dry snow usually generate a dust cloud as the sliding snow is whirled into the air... Their speed may exceed 200 km/hr.... Under certain circumstances, enough snow crystals are mixed with the air to form an aerosol which behaves as a sharply bounded body of dense gas rushing down the slope ahead of the sliding snow. This wind blast can inflict heavy destruction well beyond the normal bounds of the avalanche track. 8, record 2, English, - air%20blast

Some slides, particularly large ones, appear to be preceded by an air blast or pressure wave. Destructive air blasts are not common. Skate Tips : Catamaran. Talk about a blast from the past, catamaraning can be a lot of fun, and it's real easy to do. All you need is a partner. What you do is you sit on your board sideways facing your partner, while your partner does the same. Position the boards so that you can both put your feet comfortably on the ends of each other's boards. Once in position, you start down a fairly mellow hill. You turn by having the person on the turning side lean back, like he's on the trapeze of a catamaran. The person on the nonturning [side] leans in to help out with the turn. 1, record 4, English, - catamaran

I’m posting today to ask your opinion about whether David should participate in catamaran skateboarding. What is it, you ask? Well, let me explain. There are two skateboarders set parallel to each other a couple of feet apart. Each one is equipped with a toochas pad for comfort and two handles for steering. The riders sit on the boards with their bodies facing each other, their legs resting on the other person’s deck, and both looking in the direction of travel. Turning is accomplished by one person leaning back and pulling on their handles, at the same time the other person leans forward and pushes on theirs. There are no brakes. 2, record 4, English, - catamaran

One of the famous stories at Camp Happiness was about the blast deflectors at the Cape Canaveral launch pad. Apparently, the first time a bird was launched, the fin mounted ARW-59 Command Guidance(Range Safety) antennae blew off and down into the tunnel. The debris blew out the tube and up into the overhead power lines, causing loss of power at the entire complex, particularly the Range Safety Officer's Console. While the missile was last seen disappearing into the cloud cover headed down range, a piece of the honeycomb wing washed up on the Florida beach not long after, proving the "Fail Safe" backup system had destructed the bird in flight. 2, record 5, English, - safety%20officer%27s%20console

High pressure, gun-type burners consist of a motor, oil pump(with integral or separate pressure regulating and shut-off valve), strainer, fan, ignition transformer, nozzle and electrode assembly.... The motor-driven pump draws oil from the supply tank and delivers it to the nozzle at pressures of from 100 to 300 psi. The nozzle atomizes the oil into fine particles and swirls it into the combustion chamber as a cone-shaped spray where it mixes with air [moving down the blast gun tube] and is ignited. [By an electric spark]. They are generally designed to burn No. 2 oil although some of the larger sizes are made for No. 4 oil. 4, record 6, English, - high%20pressure%20atomizing%20type%20gun%20burner

Domestic burners... employ either one of two methods to prepare the fuel oil for combustion. These are atomization(spraying) and vaporization(heating). Atomization or spraying is divided into three types, namely, high-pressure atomization, low-pressure atomization, and centrifugal atomization. With high-pressure atomization used by high-pressure gun-type burners, the oil pressure is built up to 100 psi by a pump and delivered through an oil line to a specially designed nozzle from which it sprays out into the combustion chamber in a vaporous cloud of tiny globules or droplets. This mist of fine oil droplets is met by a current of air moving down the blast(gun) tube, and the oil and air mix in the combustion chamber after leaving the burner. Ignition is accomplished with an electric spark. 2, record 8, English, - high%2Dpressure%20atomization

1, record 8, French, - pulv%C3%A9risation%20par%20l%27air%20sous%20haute%20pression
