Your basal metabolic rate(BMR) refers to the minimum number of calories your body needs to function at a basic level. This includes maintaining all your cells and essential bodily functions, like breathing, blood circulation and body temperature.... RMR and BMR are similar but different. RMR represents the amount of energy your body needs to function while at rest. But it includes the calories necessary for low-effort daily activities like going to the bathroom and getting dressed. RMR is slightly higher than BMR by about 10% due to the calorie needs of these low-energy activities. 2, record 1, English, - resting%20metabolic%20rate

But as we’ve grown further away from the farm, our food tastes have become more homogenized and pickier. The meat cases of sleek supermarkets reflect this: You may find a few lonely packages of liver. Brains, kidneys and other innards are seldom seen except at ethnic markets and specialty butcher shops. Most restaurant menus are likewise almost bereft of what the French call abats de boucherie, the British "offal" and Americans, somewhat euphemistically, "variety meats," which include one of the most luscious delicacies of all, sweetbreads. 6, record 15, English, - offal

3, record 43, French, - bossage

The moral of the story is that the concept phase is extremely important to prevent creation of an unworkable design that ends up staying around because no one wants to throw away something they’ve started working with. 3, record 49, English, - ugly%20baby%20syndrome

On November 11, Saint Martin's day, children in Flanders, the northern parts of the Netherlands, the Catholic areas of Germany and in Austria participate in paper lantern processions. Often, a man dressed as Saint Martin rides on a horse in front of the procession. The children sing songs about Saint Martin and about their lantern. The food traditionally eaten on the day is goose. According to legend, Martin was reluctant to become bishop, which is why he hid in a stable filled with geese. The noise made by the geese betrayed his location to the people who were looking for him. Also in the east part of the Belgian province East-Flanders, children receive presents from Saint Martin on November 11, instead of from Saint Nicholas on December 6, or Santa Claus on December 25. 1, record 55, English, - Saint%20Martin%27s%20day

1, record 55, French, - f%C3%AAte%20de%20la%20Saint%2DMartin

Cornices may be classified into two main divisions. The open cornice consists of exposed rafter tails and the closed type has the rafter tails enclosed.... Figure 1-7 shows a section of an open cornice. The lookout rafters are made of dressed stock, generally the size of the common rafter. They should extend approximately the same distance above the plate that they project beyond the building line so that they may be firmly spiked to the sides of the common rafters. The part of the lookout rafter that is exposed to view is, in many cases, cut to some ornamental curve at the bottom and to a plumb cut at its end so as to provide a surface on which a hanging gutter may be attached. A fascia board is sometimes nailed to the plumb cut of the rafters to form a solid base for the gutter. The lookout rafters sometimes extend beyond the building as much as 3 feet and are supported by being spiked to the sides of the common rafters. 4, record 60, English, - lookout%20rafter
