The MCS system provides the primary tactical planning tool for the brigade. Supported by graphics decision support tools, including digital maps, aerial or satellite photos, dynamic 3D "flyover" view of the battlespace, and mobility analysis of the terrain, map overlays with intelligence and battle resources by unit. Commanders can quickly and clearly analyze different courses of action and take decisions based on thorough analysis of up-to-date situational assessment, various maneuver schemes, doctrine, and changes encountered during the course of action. Once detailed plan is determined, the MCS prepare and send warning operations orders, and related annexes. During the mission, the system provides automatic updates of friendly/enemy unit movement locations and battlefield geometry. As all information is maintained on the database, re-tasking of units is rapid and flexible. As an integrated part of the battle command systems, MCS receives information from external sources and updates those sources within predetermined operational plans. Such sources include intelligence, fire support, supply status and air operations requests. 2, record 2, English, - Maneuver%20Control%20System

Most of the scientific and technical problems associated with environmental impact assessment can ultimately be traced back to the natural variability inherent in many physical and biological phenomena. Natural systems, and components of them, are highly dynamic, and patchiness in space and variation over time is common. Often superimposed on random variations are seasonal fluctuations and multi-year cycles. Also, some variables may be on non-horizontal trajectories in the long term, that is, ’moving baselines. ’The field scientists involved in impact assessment face one of their greatest challenges in dealing with such dynamic environmental baselines. 1, record 6, English, - non%2Dhorizontal%20trajectory

Clarifying responses are... used to help the client attain insight into his own feelings and behaviors... Clarifying responses assist the caseworker in making an accurate assessment of the dynamic factors contributing to the presenting problems... Clarifying responses help the caseworker move from the content level to the process level in the interview... Clarifying responses may facilitate the development of the client's awareness and understanding of himself and the nature of his problems... Clarifying responses are often threatening to the client, because they bring feelings, issues, and concerns that the client may either not be fully aware of, or may not want to talk about, into open discussion. In the absence of a supportive, trusting relationship, clarifying responses may be perceived by the client as "probing" and may increase resistance to talking with the caseworker. 1, record 7, English, - clarifying%20response
