DYNAMIC BINDING [8 records]

Record 1 2024-05-09

English

Subject field(s)
  • Programming Languages
  • Artificial Intelligence
DEF

A programming language that supports object-oriented concepts.

OBS

Ada is an excellent object-oriented language for it possesses the four characteristics of that type of language, that is : information hiding, data abstraction, dynamic binding, and inheritance.

OBS

object-oriented language: term standardized by ISO/IEC and CSA International; definition standardized by ISO/IEC.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Langages de programmation
  • Intelligence artificielle
DEF

Langage de programmation adapté aux concepts orientés objets.

OBS

langage orienté objets; langage orienté objet; langage adapté à l'objet; langage orienté vers l'objet : termes normalisés par l'ISO/CEI et la CSA International; définition normalisée par l'ISO/CEI.

Record 2 2019-07-18

English

Subject field(s)
  • Computer Programs and Programming
DEF

A combination of static binding and dynamic binding that restricts the set of variables that may be referenced by the code in any given class.

CONT

The code that implements the binding mechanism requires several conditions to be met before the binding will occur. The binding mechanism will swallow any errors to prevent runtime exceptions from being thrown at runtime.

CONT

English

Subject field(s)
  • Biological Sciences
DEF

To combine or unite molecules by means of reactive groups, either in the molecules per se or in a chemical added for that purpose; frequently used in relation to chemical bonds that may be fairly easily broken.

CONT

The binding of a protein to the molecule it recognizes is not fixed or permanent. It is governed by a dynamic equilibrium, in which molecules are continuously being bound and released.... Enzymes... are much like other proteins. An enzyme recognizes a specific molecule(called the substrate) and binds to it in dynamic equilibrium; what distinguishes an enzyme is that it can bring about some chemical change in the bound substrate.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Sciences biologiques
CONT

Une enzyme, fixée de façon stable à un support insoluble, pourra, si sa stabilité est suffisante, être récupérée facilement en fin d'opération (par filtration, sédimentation, etc.) et utilisée plusieurs fois de suite.
