English

Subject field(s)
  • Television (Radioelectricity)
DEF

A condition in which the electron beams of a multibeam cathode-ray tube intersect at a specified point, such as at an opening in the shadow mask of a three-gun color television picture tube; both static convergence and dynamic convergence are required.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Télévision (Radioélectricité)
DEF

Dans un tube à masque de télévision en couleurs, réglage des balayages des trois faisceaux électroniques correspondant aux trois couleurs, réalisé afin qu'ils traversent au même instant un même trou du masque, quelle que soit sa position sur la surface de l'écran.

Record 3 1991-12-02

English

Subject field(s)
  • Television (Radioelectricity)
DEF

The condition where the three beams of a color picture tube come together at the aperture mask as they are deflected both vertically and horizontally.

CONT

To maintain this converged condition of the beams as they swing away from the center, it is also necessary to vary their relative angles slightly. This process of changing the beam angle so that it will be in step with the scanning is referred to as dynamic convergence. It is required because the distance traveled by the beams increases as they swing away from the center of the screen.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Télévision (Radioélectricité)
DEF

Convergence obtenue par des corrections distribuées à chaque canon du tube récepteur couleur et variables selon le balayage ligne et trame.
